Thus, ZEI contributes to finding solutions to unsolved issues of the European Integration and the shaping of Europe’s international role.

  • ZEI integrates legal, economic and social as well as cultural and political issues in an interdisciplinary context.
  • ZEI offers academics as well as policy-makers, representatives of businesses, and lobbyists an international forum for discussion of all aspects of European integration.
  • ZEI’s research is demand-driven and development-oriented in that the most prominent developments are being worked on and analyzed in independent research groups.

The Center for European Integration Studies (ZEI), together with the Center for Development Research (ZEF) is located in Bonn close to the UN-Campus, the House of German History, and the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany.
